I read this when I was a teenager and I absolutely loved it then. I know it has problematic themes in that it is sorts romanticizing kidnapping, but I think the way it ends with very clear statements that she’s suffering from what happened makes it clear that this isn’t okay… and it instead portrays how absurd and horrible the situation was.
