Weyward is a blend of historical fiction and magical realism, with elements of mystery. It follows the lives of 3 women in the Weyward family from 3 different centuries, and while they grapple with their own unique conflicts, there are similarities in their struggles with self identity, family, and the patriarchal society they live in.
Overall, I liked the pacing of the book and the switches between main characters every chapter. I also loved the witchy vibes and think this would be a great fall read for those interested in a female focused historical fiction. There are definitely heavier aspects of the book though and I would recommend checking the content warnings before picking this book up.
