The Silver Locusts by Ray Bradbury

I'm not going to rate this book even though i read it and I will expand on this in a moment.

Let me tell you a fucking story about this book. When I was about 12 or 13 years old I had to read a book in english and write a summary on it for school, now mind you english is not my first language and 12yo me did not know that much english, and this was the first full book I read in english. This is not a fucking first thing you read in a language you do not understand when you are thirteen. My mother had gotten this somewhere and it was incredibly hard to read, because I hardly knew english and it was fucking sci-fi.

Now its around 10-13 years later and this book has fucking haunted me for years because i never knew the name of the book. I remembered a cover and a fucking weird as fuck plot I barely comprehended as a child, barely understanding the language it was written in, and for fucking years I have been telling people about this crazy ass weird shit I read once and I was never able to remember the actual name of the book and have been trying for years.

Now lets flashforward to this morning when I was cleaning my old ass shit at my parents house and throwing trash away and lo and behold I find the fucking essay I wrote on it when i was in middle school, and it turns out this book I have been thinking and trying to remember the name of is by Ray fucking Bradbudy. Unbelievable.I can die happy now that I know the name. Maybe I will reread it at some point and actually understand it this time. One of the greatest mysteries of my life solved.
