A beautiful stroll through the reality of grief. The relationships were nuanced and the characters were raw and real and I loved them all the more for that. It was visceral and every sentence felt like it was written so deliberately. Occasionally in books there are characters where you just have a soft spot for them and for me egg took that role.
Usually I don’t like books that I feel aren’t ‘realistic’ but i think this book was written so beautifully that I felt like it still made perfect sense. I’m happy with some unanswered questions for instance it doesn’t matter if egg was real or figurative because it was real to Isaac and had a real impact on his healing process
