Pratchett is amazing.
This was my first Disc World book, and I highly recommend it to all ages. Skeptics will find another layer of humor here, but overall it's a book that will entertain anyone.
The characters are well-fleshed, the writing is beautiful without being overly flowery, and you can truly feel that Pratchett was going for a message here.
Also, you will laugh your tail off, and you'll be enamored by Om as much as you would be by Death in any of his books. And that's saying something, because Death has a killer sense of humor.
I did not mean to include a pun, but oh well. It happens.
