I gifted myself a copy of The Comfort Book because Matt Haig's previous work had resonated with me, and his approach to talking openly about mental health is something I appreciate. This book is like a hug, oftentimes offering random tidbits of information, hope and encouragement. The fact the author so openly shares about his own journey with mental health makes this work so much more inviting and welcoming. True to its title, I found this book highly comforting.

This book may be little, but it's definitely powerful. A book I'll return to on the tough days. The magic is in the structure, for you can easily open to any page, taking what you need, and coming back time after time. And can I take a moment to appreciate the cover. It alone is a breath of fresh air. This would make a lovely gift for anyone who may be struggling or when you want to celebrate the miracle of being alive.
