This book was not what I expected or was looking for. I wasn't expecting the doomsday/prepper elements and constant commentary on leaving society behind and returning to nature. The ending was bizarre and definitely not as empowering for Wren as I had hoped, and considering the focus the book has on trauma, it seemed to breeze past the emotional fallout of the final showdown.
