Aaaanddd just like that, another 5-star read. I have been planning to read this book for years, it has been recommended to me countless times but I never reached for it because I knew how sad the book would be. And I wasn't wrong. From start to finish, this novel is an ethical rollercoaster. I found myself trying to pick a side, but I never could, which is exactly what Picoult intended.
The characters in this book are relatable and complex. Amazing storytelling and world building from Picoult, I truly felt like I was there, watching this story unfold. I became close to the characters and was so connected to what happened to them.
That being said, the ending killed me. It was fantastic, but it killed me.
