I cannot explain how much I love and equally hate this book. I read it for cjtalksbooks bookclub this month. I stand by my original comments that I'd never normally choose to read books about slavery, fiction or otherwise, I've had enough of that but I still love what this book represents even if I can't stomach the history it came from.
