With the Gunner in the Walker's clutches, George and Edie set out to save him. Unfortunately, the taint called Spout grabs George and leaves Edie all alone.
Soon, George embarks on the Hard Way, and must face three challenges to stop the veins of marble, bronze, and stone that have appeared on his wrist before they pierce his heart.
With each of the three main characters in mortal peril and making their way alone, the story is jam-packed with action. Surprisingly, there is space for some tender moments that got me right in the feels.
