This is a fun cozy fantasy romance with little spice and some mouthwatering food.
Rosalyn is a pixie who runs The Sconery and Teashop in Moonshine Hollow. While her enchanted scones mean a thriving business, Rosalyn’s success with finding true love is less than stellar. Bjorn is an elven prince, determined to forge his own path instead of yielding to the expectations of his parents. When Bjorn is called to Moonshine Hollow to help a unicorn herd exhibiting strange behavior, he’s all too happy to have a brief escape from his mother’s matchmaking efforts. When the two meet, sparks fly, but…it’s complicated.
This such a charming love story and I really love the relationship with Rosalyn and Bjorn, despite the obstacles they face. I love the cozy small town vibe of Moonshine Hollow with its strong community ties. The large quirky cast of side characters really enriched the story and I particularly enjoyed the antics of the non human characters, especially Merry and Smoke (I really need a caticorn now). There is a nice reference to the cast of characters at the end, plus a few great story related recipes. If you enjoy a whimsical, cozy fantasy romance with a little spice, a cozy small town vibe, quirky characters, and some magical creature shenanigans, then this is the perfect read for you.
