let me tell you, when i opened this book and found out a characters name was clementine-tangerine, i was about to throw this book out of the window.
i didn’t though, and it kept on getting worse: gen z references were FLOODING ME. when i tell you i was so close to actually crying—

well, and then i got kind of intrigued by the whole mystery. even though the hints were not really subtle, they still confused me.

unfortunately, the ending and resolution were disappointing. i hoped for
the clues to be connected and form a huge plan and actually make sense, but instead it was like SIKE, CLEM PLANTED THEM ALL AND THEY MEANT NOTHING

themes of racism and injustice were just kinda thrown in there, but it felt so inauthentic and basic at the same time…bad execution.

intriguing but disappointing (and cringe to say the least)
