As the book is centred around one of my favourite characters, I was a little let down by this. It wasn't bad in the slightest, just very much middle of the road.
I do feel the fact we already know how it is finish, make the stakes so much less, and there wasn't anything really all that surprising.
I do believe there are instances where things are done for shock, of the way certain events transpire are weird and confusing. Not good, but not bad.
