Darling Venom by Parker S. Huntington
I honestly don’t know how to rate this. My eyes burn from crying so much. After the first few chapters I was hooked and excited to see where this was going then gutted like 10% in. Like I knew what was coming but was still hoping that wasn’t the case. The way this book talked about grief, guilt, mental health, love, and life was beautiful. That was really the best part of the book.
Now the main characters and their romance was just eh. I never was really that invested in them. Charlie seemed kinda desperate and Tate was idek. I just never was invested in them as a couple. I was constantly cringing with their interactions. However, the healing through shared grief was amazing. Also I wish the author went into less detail about Charlie’s clothes because my god I could not get passed the fingerless gloves and giant bow. Took me back to MySpace days and I just couldn’t move on.
I loved and hated different parts of this so no rating because nothing fits.
