So much of this I loved and was really drawn into. Other parts are frustrating and I'd say even poorly written - main characters making confusing decisions, miscommunication tropes galore, etc. As a whole though, those things getting less prevalent as you move through the book and it's an absorbing read. I'll be finishing the series
