We Hunt the Flame was a really unique and interesting Young Adult fantasy!!
I really loved the plot and world building of it, as well as the author’s use of ancient Arabian culture and language! I feel like I learned a lot while still reading something super magical and interesting!!
I really loved the characters so so much and I’m really excited to read book 2!
This was the slowest slowburn of all slowburns though. While I absolutely loved the enemies to lovers and all the bantering, I wish there would’ve been more romance and that we would’ve actually gotten to see them be together rather than denying it so much. I know the next book is really long and the author most likely did this pacing and character development but I definitely hope there is more romance in book two!
I mainly gave it 4 stars just because I wish there would’ve been more romance but also because everything was very evenly paced and kind of slow to start and then as soon as Act 3 began things started moving so fast and I got a little confused. I think I’ll enjoy book two a little more!
Overall, this was a unique, magical, interesting, and very diverse read! I 100% recommend and I can’t wait to start book two later tonight!!
