Stuck with You by Ali Hazelwood
2.0
I loved the author’s “The Love Hypothesis” (a sweet STEM romance with a student/professor fake dating trope) so I was excited to read/listen to more of Hazelwood’s works but I must say.. I was very disappointed in this.
The story was entirely unrealistic and the detailed sex scenes were cringey and uncomfortable as heck, and I am not saying that because I am prude (I’m totally not). The character was just cringey herself. What made it worse is the narrator’s juvenile voice and poor attempt at a buff male’s voice that makes it sound like a young kid and an old man together.
I pushed through because it was short-ish, ~3.5 hours, but I definitely almost DNF’ed around 60%.
I know Hazelwood produces a lot of STEM romance novels and novellas.. but I think she should try to stick to more quality than quantity.
