Speechless.
This entire book was so freaking tense and insane and well written. Amelie’s POV was not something I’d realized I needed. And the POV swaps are done right this time, not that vague, annoying internal monologuing.
Seems fitting after I just bitched about repeated threats… because this one is big. And new. And obviously at least a two booker. People are dying. Vamps are dying.
And I will love Myrnin until the end of time. And Oliver is worming his way into my heart too, but I’m sure he’ll be a douche bag again as soon as I start up book 12.
Oh yeah! LGBTQ+ representation finally! Not like, the spotlight or focus or anything, but in BFE Texas who hates the gays, a 1,000+ year old vamp lady, and you know in her time it wasn’t allowed. So, some kudos to Rachel Caine for that - maybe it’ll be a little more prominent going forward and wasn’t just for the sake of “giving us a gay.”
