This book is not quite dystopian, even though the Memory Police is a main plot driver. It’s not quite horror either - except perhaps from R’s perspective as he watches the woman he loves slowly disappearing. It’s a book with a very strange concept, and perhaps because English is not its original language, the nature of the disappearances is very hazy. However, it is definitely a book I would recommend.
Graphic: Confinement
Moderate: Death
