I wouldn't say that it was a waste of my time reading this but it was definitely not a good investment of my time. Fitzek manages to write a story sloppier than I did back in 8th grade, filled with stunningly terrible stylistic devices that every teacher would advise against using. There is no real story or suspense arch and the book only manages to keep you interested for its frequent jump scares (to sometimes weird conclusions).
The worst part is the end. I have to admit, I was happy that it ended but not with the way it did.
Nice premise. Horrible and head-achingly bad writing and plotting.
