Across a Field of Starlight: by Blue Delliquanti

adventurous hopeful reflective medium-paced

5.0

Great art and interesting plot with a lot of food for thought regarding war, rebellion, utopia, differing world views, and technology.  Like others have said, this is not really a romance, but more a queer platonic relationship. And it works!

A lot of diverse representation in gender, sexuality, skin colour, and body shape. The characters are complex without being overly complicated. Just incredibly enjoyable overall and I would recommend especially if you're looking for some new sci-fi!

From the author's notes: "How can anybody think about traveling to the moon if they don't know where they'll sleep that night? How can anybody dream of going to the stars if they're told they don't deserve them?"
