Times Like These by Julia Wolf

4.0

I follow a lot of authors on Booktok and Twitter and always get a bit nervous to read their books if I’ve never read them before. After following someone for months, and genuinely enjoying their content and personality, the last thing I want to do is read their story and not end up liking it. *Insert awkward laugh* Luckily for me I really enjoyed reading “Times Like These” and getting to know the members of Blue is the Color.

Are you a fan of Alphahole’s that show some vulnerability? The most important thing in Nick’s life is the wellbeing of his fellow bandmates, the men he met in his teens and grew up alongside. Nick will not tolerate anyone speaking badly about his found family. So when someone tweets a video of his friend, Jasper, passing out during their concert he’s livid. Without stopping to think of the potential ramifications, due to his large platform and supporters, he calls the person a “cunt” which causes a lot of negativity to head Dalia’s way.

Dalia, who hadn’t wanted to go to the concert, was trying to support her sister by attending her sister’s favorite band’s performance. When she see’s a Rockstar pass out, in the early moments of said concert, she’s upset for her sister who had been so excited to see this band live. Little did she know, one small tweet would drastically change her life. Not only is she harassed online by thousands of people she’s also fired from her job…who knew her boss was a huge BitC fan?

Jasper feeling horrible for the way Nick, and their fans, treated Dalia invites Dalia over to formally apologize and explain what caused him to pass out during the concert. During the apology he, and the band’s manager, find out about Dalia being fired and so they offer her a job. If Dalia want’s she can travel with the band for the next two month’s doing any, and all, odd jobs they need done.

Little do they, Dalia and Nick, know the next two months are going to change not only how they see the world but how they see their futures. If you like alpha holes, forced proximity, curvy tattooed ladies, and Rockstar romances…you’ll definitely enjoy this book! I look forward to picking up the other books and seeing the rest of the band find their other halves.
