The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

5.0

I do most of my reading at work. As Death is a narrator who enjoys spoiling the ending, I made sure I was alone in the bath before starting what I could feel would be the ending climax of the book, and thank goodness I was. I think this takes the record for the book I’ve sobbed to the most. It’s a beautiful, special sort of pain, a book that makes you cry. I think I’ll treasure this book for the rest of my life, though I don’t know I’ll ever get the strength to reread it, knowing what would be in store for me.
