First time reading this since I was like 12 or 15 or something like that. I remember being very disappointed with it back then, but I liked it much more this time around. Interesting how it begins like any 19th century travelogue and quickly becomes this claustrophobic and uncanny story. Also very interesting how it intersects with what were at the time cutting edge technologies.
