Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin

this book made me cry in public, but i forgive it.

i don't give a single f about gaming, but this book isn't about that anyway. it's about relationships and friendships and love and collaboration and art and being a human. it's such a complex and wonderful story about complex and wonderful humans. they're just trying their best and doing what they love and figuring things out and hurting each other in the process, but loving each other nonetheless. they are forever linked by playing together. and to play together is to love each other.

these characters were real people to me. i cared about them so much and was frustrated by them and sad for them and worried about them and cried for them. this is truly a masterclass in writing humans and relationships that make you feel something.

the attention to detail and the easter eggs were to die for. the NPC chapter had no business being that good.

i'm gonna miss these horses tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow.
