This book has the perfect combination of fairytale tropes and trope-breakers to make a wonderful story. The main protagonist is a woman in her 30s trying to save her older sister from an abusive marriage with two old magic women who I love, a dog made of bones, and a love interest in his late 30s/early 40s. The main character loves embroidery and weaving and is terrible at politics but she's still capable and never shamed for not being married and not being a virgin which is rare for books of this genre. If you like found family and magic, you'll love this book
