This book was full of tropes but I ate them up… 

  • The beautiful maiden who is so gentle but can kill you if she wants with little effort.
  • The almost instalove
  • Enemies to lovers

Overall I read it in one sitting, and enjoyed it that I am going to pick up the next book almost immediately.

The one thing that bothered me was the supernatural element was not mentioned at all and then boom that’s all the book is about… I think it could have been a more gradual introduction than dump it in a sentence and then we just know what’s going on…

The romance was meh….. cute but felt instalovey which is weird when enemies to lovers should be gradual…
