Honestly, I read this book so many times, so long ago, that I can't really remember all of the details and plot twists (that I KNOW are there!).... I just remember that it's good. And not just good, but great! Wonderful! AMAZING! So, I'm rating this five stars, and will re-visit it at a later date, just to verify all of its awesomeness!
Update: Re-read it. And YES! I LOVE this book!!!!!! So much! The creativity that was required to produce this tale is phenomenal. It was as if I could hear the author wondering what would happen if the characters could live and breathe and think on their own, beyond the words that were put into their mouths... Stunning. Incredible. Magical. I WILL be reading this to my kids (when I have them)!
