Queen Bee by Amalie Howard

The ending almost made me regret reading the entire book.

I do want to start off by saying that I'm probably not the target demographic for the book but I was roped in with the promise of Bridgerton, however, the only thing it had in common with Bridgerton was the regency era. As other reviews have mentioned, the first half of the book was well-written and intriguing before it tapered off. I had too main issues with the novel: I did not like the main love interest, Kes, and that fact that Ela/Lyra, a very strong force to be reckoned with, had nary a backbone against Kes. I think her anger towards her ex-bestfriend, Poppy, overshadowed her anger for Kes' betrayal because he wronged her too but she kept seeming to forget that because he was so handsome
