This is by far one of my favourites in the series. CoM is still my favourite I think, but this was a very close second.
I really loved Aelin in this book, I think she's really developed as a character, those few months in Wendlyn did something to her.
I do have to admit though, there were a few things that annoyed me. Like the amount of inspirational speeches. I get it, you are Aelin Ashryver Galathynius, fire bringer and the heir to the throne of Terrasen, you don't have to say it every chapter.
I also didn't really like the random surprises, like 'guess what? You're related to this guy!' Or 'surprise! I'm still alive!', it seemed like Maas thought some parts were going to be too boring for readers so she added a small insignificant twist.
Other than that, the book was phenomenal. Highly recommended, I can't WAIT for the next ones.
