The Girl from the Well
by Rin Chupeco
mysterious
This book had me hooked from the very beginning. First person narration by the dead girl from the well, mixed with 3rd person narration of how she appears to the other characters, seamlessly written by Rin Chupeco that I sometimes forgot she was describing herself. It really added to the mood of the book, and emphasized the detachment she had with her gruesome appearance.
I love love loved this book! Even though it deals with death and murder, even side characters getting killed, it's handled in a way that I felt safe the entire time. It's cosy horror.
The audiobook narrator also did a fantastic job.
I will be reading everything I can find by this author. So well done!
