This was a fun, uncomplicated read with lots of humor and an easily unfolding romance. There is a slight case of insta-love present in the book, but the hero has to work extra hard to get the heroine to fall for him. I giggled a lot while reading and enjoyed how the hero wasn't caught up in the Georgian fancy dress of the time.
In fact, James does a fairly good job of poking fun at the fashion sense during the late 1700s. I'm interested to see how the next two books in the series pan out. Looks like she's hooked me in for the ride.
