This Won't End Well by Camille Pagán

3.0

Slow, awkward start but ended strong.

I had this out from the library months ago and didn't read it. I thought the cover looked cheesy and just held no interest for me. But when Anne Bogel put it on her summer reading guide, I decided to grab the audiobook and ended up liking the story much more than the cover. :) When this first started I thought this book was trying to be another Elinor Oliphant (which I loved) and I was not here for it. I almost DNFed it early on. But I continued on and am glad I did. Annie is a sweet awkward character that has quite a bit on her plate with her current relationships (fiance, best friend and mom) at the moment and then she goes and makes two more friends that may or may not bring further complications to her life. But Annie ends up working thru each and every one. Sweet book.

Updating this to 3.5 stars. I enjoyed it after finishing but just two weeks later, I can't remember a thing about the story or the characters. Enjoyable but not memorable.
