Blood on the Tracks, Vol. 1 by Shuzo Oshimi
4.0

Super strange psychological horror. I typically prefer horror stories with a more fantastic vibe, but Shūzō's story is dripping with creepy. You watch as the young protagonist Shigeru navigates school and some uncomfortably close familiar relationships. The art is incredible, the panel composition is excellent and reads like a well shot thriller. This first volume, though enjoyable, felt like setup as it ends on what seems to be the inciting incident of the story. Regardless, I was left in anticipatory terror and eager to read the next volume.
