There Are No Saints
by Sophie Lark
i picked this book up back in may & around 20% i decided to put it down & return later because it was bit slow for me (i was looking for fast-paced at the time). fast forward, i decided to give it go again & once i picked it up, i couldn’t put it back down. patience was what i really needed & i loved the way it played out. sophie’s writing style is different from what i’m use too but it grew on me like the story! i liked the bit of crime placed into the story & serial killer vibes. there wasn’t much romance between cole & mara (more on the side of him just being possessive from a small distance) but i was eagerly reading for the plot! i’ve just started reading serial killer tropes so it worked out for me. the illustrations & songs place through out the chapters were awesome as well, kept me engaged (i’m a visual reader). i also found the book a bit funny with the way sophie occasionally adds some weirdness into it. i’m excited to start on the next part of the duet!
