This was very good. The realm traveling was interesting, even if the rest of the magic system was pretty normal. I enjoyed the different settings, and just how distinct the two worlds are. Saeris was kind of the run of mill FMC and really spent almost this entire book just thristing after Kingfisher, also pretty generic grumpy Fae shadow daddy, no slow burn to be found here, that's for sure. I enjoyed it all the same though. The side characters were also a highlight and nothing better happen to Onyx.
The ending twists were all over the place, a few I had suspected but others were a complete shock to me. Will definitely be reading book 2.
Also, listened to the audiobook and that was 5 stars, no notes. Would recommend that 100%. And that will be also be how I consume book 2.
