This is the book I’ve been looking for. The one that emphasizes how Jesus hinder prioritized love over “being right,” and ended up getting both.
I don’t know how profound his observations are, so much as they are simple and fundamental, and in that they reach some level of profundity. Jared acknowledges the reality that having the right beliefs is more concrete and thus feels like the more attainable goal, but often gets you further from the ultimate goal of loving others. Loving people (especially those you may find unlovable at first) is risky and challenging, but we’re not in this alone— we always have Jesus walking with us. And because the goal isn’t simply to “get it right,” there is Grace as we fumble through this journey.
