So much hype around this book, but for me it was “so,so”. It got pretty far fetched by the end when it seemed to be Gamache against the entire country.i also knew that the book was going to end on a cliffhanger, and I normally don’t care for that type of storyline. We don’t see or hear much about Three Pines or its colourful personalities either.  And how many times can a so-called close friend of Gamache turn out to be a bad egg? Apparently Gamache trusts no one except his close associates, and he doesn’t even break his silence when people he loves can become collateral damage. I didn’t enjoy this book so doubt I’ll read the supposed sequel.
