Identification; there goes I. My god; maybe that's what'll happen. In the confusion you'll retire me, not her. And she can go back to Seattle and live my life. I never felt this way before. We are machines, stamped out like bottle caps. It's an illusion that I - I - personary - really exist; I'm just representative of a type.

the finnish translation is littered with constant typos to the degree it's as if it was written out in one, fast go without looking back. just nonstop missing and extra letters ("rakennauksessa," "auttaisinkko," "tehdesänne") and punctuation marks, sometimes multiple times on the same page. which did leave me mildly nervous about the translation itself, for a first read.

that said, i did end up enjoying this far more than i expected to, though it took me almost halfway to actually grip me. and in spite of the old sci-fi typical misogyny. i don't need to know what a woman's breasts are doing in the middle of a tense conversation about dead friends, i promise. loved rachael, though.
