I really enjoyed this gothic fairy tale. The characters were interesting and the mysteries kept me engaged. I loved that even though the bridegroom tells a lot of the story, it's not about him at all. It's very much centered on the female characters and their relationships. I especially loved the relationship between Indigo and Azure. The whole book was so atmospheric and mysterious, it absolutely drew me in and I didn't want to put it down.
I enjoyed Chokshi's The Gilded Wolves trilogy and this was a great debut into adult fiction. Looking forward to what she publishes next.
