Almond

Man, this book was so good. I actually loved it so much.
What made me love it? The obvious queer undertones. However, these queer undertones are clearly censored and thrown away which really dampened the mood for me.
Dora’s character literally comes out of nowhere, like this bitch was so out of pocket, she had me singing the backpack song.
If it weren’t for the queer baiting and failure to acknowledge that sometimes they can’t just be the “bestest of friends” it would have totally been a 5/5. Sadly the story is cut short after so much development because it assumably couldn’t safely be portrayed in a different way. (IMO)
