Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson

3.0

This one is tough to review. On the one hand, the writing is fantastic. The author really draws you into the absurd situations, and I blazed through the book. On the other hand, seeing as how this was based on actual events, the author is a complete scumbag and criminal. Plus the usual disclaimers for casual racism, misogyny, and bigotry I'm finding in most books published before 1990. I'm glad I read it, but not sure I'd recommend it to anyone I liked.
