Hold Me by Willow Winters, W. Winters
5.0
Hold Me is book #2 in Love The Way You series; it was a duet but just recently the authors announced that it was going to be turned into a series. And I'm super excited for book #3 "Love Me" which is planned to be released next year. Hold Me picks up from the events of the last book "Kiss Me". And in this book, Ella's and Zander's backstory is unravelled a bit more. The reasons why Ella is in a such a fragile state in the first place, and the incident that scarred Zander deeply. And the in the midst of everything they are navigating their forbidden relationship. Hence, at the ending of book #1 everyone became aware of their secret relationship; Zander crossed professional boundaries by being in a relationship with her. But Zander and Ella couldn't care less, after all it's their lives and they desperately need each other.
Zander needs to proceed with caution, by handling the situation delicately; one wrong move and it could deeply effect all the progress they made so far. Because Ella's mental health is on the line. Two people with painful invisible wounds, who are trying to work through the pain and grief, every single day. I really liked how Ella's character truly developed in this book; Ella started to feel more comfortable to talk about her past, revealing the memories that she was wanting to forget. And it was the same for Zander. Day by day, both Ella and Zander were slowly healing each others' wounds. But at the same time, Ella and Zander were struggling to deal with their emotions. Or more like their feelings for each other. Boy oh boy! The steamy scenes left me thirsty
