Heartstopper Volume 2 by Alice Oseman

4.0

Once again, Alice Oseman has given us a wonderfully sweet story. This second volume of Heartstopper is as cute as the first, with even more character development and story. I really enjoyed seeing Charlie and Nick progress--both independently and together. And I absolutely love how Nick's storyline is handled.
SpoilerI actually have to take a moment to praise this, because it was just so refreshing to see coming out handled well! With how often we see storylines where lgbt characters are shamed for not coming out, or pressured to come out, it was just so nice to see Charlie be respectful of Nick and not make his discovery of being Bi all about him. Charlie responds how a partner should respond and I love it! Thank goodness we finally get a storyline with a healthy message of 'take the time you need and make sure you are ready and safe'

Overall, another cute story with beautiful art.
