Airports, Exes, and Other Things I'm Over by Shani Petroff

4.0

This book had been on my TBR for a VERY LONG TIME. As some of you may know, I am a HUGE fan of books by Swoon Reads and I like to collect them. This was one I wasnt able to purchase a copy of BUT my library had a copy so I was able to read it.

Sari and Zev have been together for a bit now, but when Sari finds out that Zev kissed his ex-girlfriend she breaks up with him and decides to go on her winter vacation alone. But when the weather causes her to be stuck with Zev, she slowly learns that it wasnt as clear cut as she thought it was.

I loved this book. I loved getting to know these characters, both Zev and Sari are jewish and that made me SO happy. I have been reading more and more books that have Jewish main characters and make me feel SO happy.

Sari is an artist who feels things deeply, we see that through the entire the book and her feelings are justified. She had this vacation planned for her and her boyfriend but doesn’t want to go with him now that he has kissed his ex. I totally agree with Sari, I really wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere near him either.

Zev is a soft boy who wants to fix this whole mess he made for himself and Sari. He cares about her and wants to make everything okay.

I loved seeing Sari’s determination to make things better, whether or not Zev was involved. She made new friends such as the hot Fitz and even gets a music gig!

I loved the adventure in this book, I loved the friendships that developed. It was really nice to see just how much Zev and Sari cared about each other.

One thing that I think was my favorite was Sari’s grandmother, I have a soft spot for grandmas. My grandma was one of my favorite people, and Sari’s grandma reminds me of my own grandma.

If you’re looking for a heartwarming and fun romance, I really suggest this one.
