This wouldn’t have been on my TBR but someone said it was a similar story to the love hypothesis but better written. While I agree it was better written, the descriptions of the vacations really felt like they put you there, I just wasn’t really rooting for the couple. I really liked them together and I liked them as individuals but I think having a really close male friend myself made it a bit weird to me. After she comes home from California the sadness Poppy was feeling and the feeling of being lost and not knowing where she belonged felt really relatable, I actually highlighted a quote saying “Living, being responsible for myself, seems like an insurmountable challenge lately.”
I think that summed up how I feel quite often really well and it really resonated with me. Other than that I found this book OK overall, but wasn’t deserving of the 4 stars for me.
