unwisely 's review for:
The far West
by Patricia C. Wrede
Apparently it had been almost 7 years since I read the first two books in this series. Although I didn't particularly remember what had happened, there was enough context in this book to make up for it. So that part was good.
The book, overall, was ... fine. The universe is creative, things make sense, characters are likeable. I think my biggest problem was I felt like she kept hinting that Major Things Could Happen - like, say, in-universe gender revolution- and then it didn't.
A pleasant enough read, but not as much as I feel like I wanted.
