Dear friends with Baldwin, Simone and St. Vincent Millay. Mentee of Hughes, Robeson and Dubois. She went head to head with Bobby Kennedy in her political activism….Malcolm X came *out of hiding* to attend her funeral. 
I’m blown away. 

If I can do a quarter of what Lorraine did in her brief yet glorious life, it will be a life well-lived.
