The Octopus Man by Jasper Gibson
4.0

Tom is someone who flew too far and never came back. Someone for whom the rational construction we rely on collapsed. It’s a predicament many today have touched either themselves momentarily or through a friend. The crisis he faces on and off comes across in the structure of the writing so you are affected by the change alongside him, drawn into his plight. I found it very engrossing. Despite the fact none of us know the truth and we all rely on our subjective rationality, there is such a thing as sanity. Lots of food for thought contained within that keeps you thinking after you finish. A haunting insight.
