REREAD: January 2022
It's still a good book! I hadn't read it in almost 10 years, but I had just as much fun as I did the first time around. I also realized just how different the movie (which I like, no matter what everyone else says) is to the book. I'm looking forward to what they'll do with the show.
What I didn't anticipate is how ableist it is. That part of the book did not age well and I cringed a few times at the choices of word (the c-word to describe someone without the use of their legs appeared a lot...) but it was the only major setback.
I'm hyped to reread Sea of Monsters soon!
